October 18, 2026 · Courage to Face an Uncertain Future
Apocalyptic predictions and dystopian visions seem to be everywhere these days. How do we face an uncertain future without losing our capacity to live with courage and hope?
Unitarian Universalist · Hickory, NC
“…to celebrate and witness love, justice, and mercy by facilitating spiritual enlightenment, welcoming differences, and embracing the interconnected web of life…”
New here?
We are a community of many different kinds of people: young and old, gay and straight, theist and atheist. We are seekers of truth and understanding. We love music and laughter and intelligent conversation. We champion causes we believe in. We seek every day to be better people.
We are a free spiritual movement that embraces many other beliefs and traditions. Unitarian Universalists are not credal — LOVE is the power that holds us together and is at the center of our shared values.
Our hybrid services begin at 10:30 am Eastern every Sunday. Nursery care is offered at all services for very young children, and we often have Spiritual Development classes for older children. Come in person or join us on Zoom.
Worship & Watch
A typical Sunday includes music, meditation or prayer, joys and concerns, and a thoughtful message. Recorded services from our public sermon posts play below.
